YAS MARINA CIRCUIT
The Yas Marina Circuit is the only circuit in Abu Dhabi and built on the Yas Island. The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix made its debut on the Formula 1 calendar in 2009 and never left its spot. The £800m circuit is one of the most technologically-advanced Formula 1 circuits in the world. The circuit contains some very interesting parts like turn 7, the hairpin that ends with a long straight where the cars can reach speeds of over 310km/h and the entire third sector with a lot of challenging corners.
The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix traditionally is the last race of the season. In 2018, we said farewell to our Formula One drivers Fernando Alonso and Stoffel Vandoorne at this very special race.
The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is generally a race that attracts fans from all over the world. We want to unite the McLaren fans by giving them access to the official McLaren Grandstand.
The McLaren Grandstand is located at the South grandstand of the Yas Marina Circuit. A good choice for on-track action, the South Grandstand is located in the braking zone for turn 11 and also offers an excellent panorama view of the following turns 12-14 as well as the spectacular Marina section of the circuit and Yas Viceroy Hotel. Support Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz live from the McLaren Grandstand and enjoy a great atmosphere together with hundreds of McLaren fans from across the world.
Joining the McLaren Grandstand gives you access to exclusive McLaren content and amazing prizes to win.
BEYOND THE RACE
You’ll never have to be bored at Yas Island. The area is known for its bars, restaurants and attraction parks. At Yas Island you can enjoy water sports activities such as kitesurfing. Visit Yas Waterworld if you are looking for some thrilling slides and attractions. If you’re not in the mood for intensive activities you can just lay down at the beach to relax from all the track action at the circuit.
Visit the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, this beautiful mosque is the biggest in the United Arab Emirates. Visit the mosque if you want to learn more about the religious identity of Abu Dhabi, or make a nice 5 miles walk along the coast and enjoy the stunning sunset at the Corniche.
In Dubai there are endless activities to do. One of the most popular ones is to pay a visit to the world’s tallest building: Burj Khalifa. At the ‘Burj’ you can explore different observation decks. If the heights aren’t exactly your thing you can always visit the Dubai Museum. In this museum you will learn Dubai before and after the discovery of oil. Other popular activities are the desert safaris or paying a visit to largest shopping mall in the world: the Dubai Mall.
