McLaren Grandstand at COTAMcLaren Grandstand at COTA
CIRCUIT OF THE AMERICAS
The Circuit of the Americas in Austin, better known as COTA, is the 10th American circuit on the Formula 1 calendar. The first Formula 1 race in the United States was raced for the first time in 1959 and won by our very own Bruce McLaren. COTA made its debut on the Formula 1 calendar in 2012 and is loved by many drivers ever since. The 5,513 kilometers long circuit is a mixture of fast turn combinations, challenging curves and slow hairpins.
“Although Austin is a relatively new grand prix, it’s already become one of the preferred stops on the Formula 1 calendar. The circuit itself not only provides an interesting mix of different corners, but also great visuals.”
“Needless to say, the US Grand Prix is one of the most important races of the year for McLaren and we look forward to hosting many of our friends, customers and guests at what I’m sure will be an exciting and fun weekend.”
– Gil de Ferran, Sporting Director, McLaren Racing
