THE INDIANAPOLIS 500
With thirty-three drivers, 200 laps and 500 miles this exhaustive race, the ‘Indy500’, is one of the most iconic races in the world and held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Every year the race is organized during the Sunday of Memorial Day. Indy500 is a race with a lot of overtaking and thrilling moments. The Indy500 is part of the prestigious ‘Triple Crown”.
The Indianapolis 500, the Monaco Grand Prix and the 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race compose the Triple Crown of Motorsport, the three most prestigious events in the world auto-racing calendar. Only one driver ever completed the ‘Triple Crown’, but McLaren driver Fernando Alonso is aiming to be the second driver in history to win the prestigious title on Sunday the 26th of May. Fernando already won the Monaco Grand Prix twice (in 2006 and 2007) and the 24 Hours of Le Mans (2018) and is driven to win the Indy500 to take his spot in history. Good news is that you can secure yourself from joining Fernando live at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and support as he tries to triumph in The Greatest Spectacle in Racing on the official McLaren Grandstand.
To celebrate this attempt to write a new chapter in McLaren’s Indy 500 history, we are placing the spotlight on the fan – the #McLarenFamily – during the greatest spectacle in racing. Live and breathe the McLaren experience with your fellow Alonso-fans on the official McLaren Grandstand.
Besides a ticket for the race we will give you a McLaren experience that you won’t forget. A great atmosphere, a McLaren merchandise filled goodiebag and we are giving away amazing extras for some very lucky prize winners. Win prizes like a breakfast with the McLaren team, a close look at the McLaren car during a garage visit and unique signed McLaren items. The McLaren Grandstand is located at the North East Vista of the circuit. This is a grandstand in the corner of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway after a long straight. The McLaren Grandstand offers reserved seats and great views of third turn. From the opposite side of the track, a big TV screen will be placed toward the North East Vista, so you won’t miss a thing of the Indy 500.
